The Notion MCP Server integrates your AI assistant with your Notion workspace, enabling it to search documentation, read page content, and interact with complex databases using natural language. By bridging the Model Context Protocol with the Notion API, the tool allows you to perform actions like summarizing project notes or creating new tasks, significantly reducing context switching and ensuring your AI is grounded in your team’s latest knowledge. To get started, create an internal integration in the Notion Developer Portal to obtain an API secret, share the relevant pages or databases with the integration, and install the server using npx @notionhq/mcp-server. Requirements include a Webex license and a Notion account. While the open-source server is free, usage is subject to your Notion plan's API limits.
